3 Ways That Will Help You Get Over the Winter Blues |

I am going to share my way of fighting the winter blues in 3 feasible steps. Hope you find something helpful for yourself in this post!

1. Plan your first trip for 2016 -  in the first months of the year low-cost companies provide airplane tickets at a very good price. Why not starting it right this way? Skyscanner is a great website for sorting out the cheapest flights among flying companies. Qatar Airways are currently running the fist of its kind Travel Festival. You can now take advantage of the 2-for-1 offer when you fly on Premium Class, and up to 40% off on all-inclusive Economy Class fares. There is a big January sale on lastminute.com. British Airways are giving you the chance to book your 2016 holiday with a low deposit till 2nd February. And so on, and so on.

2. Winter sales - middle of January is the time for the big sales in mass brands, and sometimes they can go up to -70%! Taking advantage of them and reasonable shopping at this time of the year is a great way to fight the winter lethargy without affecting your bank account.

3. Get in shape - start now - we all feel like we've gained a bit after the holidays. We need to get in shape for the summer, and the good news is that we have more than 5 months to do it. For this, we need to start now. And no, I am not talking about sweating in the gym and starving, but eating healthier, drinking plenty of water, moving, etc. My advice is to replace the pizza for dinner with delicious and fresh guacamole. It's scientifically proven that healthier food makes you feel happier. Morning exercises will make you feel great and you will be in a better mood all day long. I've been starting my day that way since I was a teenager.

Would you take some of these advices into account? Which one? What is your way to fight the winter blues? Have a nice day!

  2. I couldn't agree more! I've already booked a mini trip to Venice in February so it definitely helps when I realize that spring is not that close. Mango sales are my favorite and I always find some great bargains. Healthy lifestyle is definitely something that I try to accomplish on everyday basis so I find these tips really motivating. I really enjoyed this post :)

  3. After so much traveling during the holidays, I'm gladly enjoying the time off and settling to one place at the moment.
On another side, the huge high street sales are something I can not miss right now!
I'm two hands up for the last tips too - getting healthy and back on my active track is well needed :))

  5. Great tips! I'm definitely heeding the "get in shape" tip, as I just had a baby in December!;-) Another thing I like to do to beat the winter blues is plan stuff to have on my calendar...it's amazing how a lunch with a friend or a visit to the museum can lift your spirits!

  6. Although I've no winter blues, I enjoyed my holiday and I am just getting back this week. So, I think for me it's good to just relax. We usually plan our holidays or weekend travels at the beginning of the months in advance. Glad that these tips work for you. Have a great week, and thanks for the inspiration!

  7. The winter blues are a bummer and these are some fab tips to get over them. I love the idea of traveling in the midst of winter especially if it's cheaper and to somewhere warm. I'm not really in need of anything for my closet right now but I do love browsing the home sales and I'm hoping to score a few great bargains.

  9. I am loving your tips on beating the winter blues and I am sure they work wonder. Winter is not too bad as lobg as there are some sunny days. I am notfond of cold, rainy and gloomy days as it looks depressing. We used to escape the winter by going to visit my parents in Thailand but can't anymore due to my daughter's school. We just have to wait for the summer. Getting back to eating healthy is a yes for me too.

  10. I agree, travelling or at least making travel plans is a great way to look forward to brighter days! I always forget about Sales and I often miss out on bargains... Exercising early in the morning, would love to be able to pull it through but it's difficult since I'm a night owl and not a morning person. Thanks for sharing your tips though.

  11. I really like your tips how to fight with winter's blues, especially to plan first trip in New Year (or vacation:P). What about sales, which are everywhere I think that it's the best time to buy yourself something nice in budget-friendly price and the rest money save for trips:P Currently, I'm working on your last proposition, I love guacamole, but I love pizza as well, so I have a huge problem ;P Have a great night, Sany!
